And though it’s not as rugged as the Apple Watch Ultra or Apple Watch Ultra 2, the Series 8 is still crack-resistant, IP6X-rated dust-resistant and swim-proof with WR50 water resistance.
The Apple Watch Series 8 retails at $399 for the GPS-only model, with the GPS and cellular version going for $499 and up. With the new Series 9 now available, the Series 8 is officially discontinued by Apple but that means you can snap up a solid deal on one while supplies last at third-party retailers.

Best Apple Watch Series 8 deals
Amazon is offering some solid straightforward discounts on select Series 8 configurations right now. You can save $100 on the midnight color variant of the base 41mm GPS-only model, which drops it down to just $299. If you want the larger 45mm model, you can grab the Starlight version for $329 which saves you $100 off the usual price.
Cellular-equipped models start at $379, which saves you $120. Or you can upgrade to the 45mm cellular model for $429, which is $100 off the usual price. Just note that prices jump around quite a bit between different colors and configurations. With the Series 8 on its way out, this might be one of the last chances you have to score such a steep discount.
Like Amazon, Walmart is offering some savings on the Series 8 right now, but the discounts jump around quite a bit between the different configurations. You can save $50 on nearly all variants of the 41mm GPS-only model, which drops the price to $364. Or you can grab the 45mm model for $394, which saves you $75.
Prices for the Apple Watch Series 8 start at just $320 at Best Buy, which scores you the 41mm GPS-only model for $79 off. Or you can upgrade to the 45mm model for $344, which is $85 off the usual price. If you want a cellular-equipped model, you can save up to $100 on the 41mm model, dropping the price to $400, or grab the 45mm model for $105 off, cutting it down to $424.
With the release of the Apple Watch Series 9, the Series 8 is no longer available brand-new at Apple. However, there is one way to save on the device direct from the manufacturer: Apple’s own refurb store has several certified refurbished Apple Watch Series 8 models available to buy right now, with prices starting at $319 for 45mm GPS-only models. There are no 41mm models available currently.
