    So, we know Windows 11 is collecting telemetry and even some questionable third-party activity. The bigger question is how detailed this data is and is Microsoft selling this data to third parties. Clearly the example of what XP gathers which is mostly just Windows updates vs what we have today in Windows 10 and 11 is day and night different. It also answers a question why Microsoft insist you have internet when setting up Windows 11. I would say from a privacy perspective that if you value privacy then Windows 11 is probably not a great choice. Signing in with a Microsoft account adds even more questionable privacy concerns. Because a Microsoft account signs you into several Microsoft services by default. I am not saying any of this is nefarious or has been proven to violate any privacy laws. But clearly more will be looking at this data collection as a concern.
