Preorders for the limited edition Spider-Man 2 PS5 console bundle and accessories went live on July 28 to some fanfare. As fans clamored to get hold of the PS5 bundle, DualSense, or console covers, it became apparent very quickly that there wouldn’t be enough to go around. For now, you can still preorder the Spider-Man 2 DualSense controller, but it’s not good news for those looking to snag those Spidey PS5 console covers. We’re aiming to keep you informed of any developments, but we also highly recommend following @IGNDeals on Twitter for immediate updates.

At the time of writing, the Spider-Man 2 DualSense controller is still available to preorder, but this is likely unsustainable and we will see a complete wipeout from retailers in the coming days. For now, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target still have preorders available at $79.99. Amazon, PS Direct, and GameStop are all sold out.

The PS5 console covers (faceplates) immediately sold out after preorders went live on July 28. All retailers in the US are currently sold out, with Insomniac even suggesting that is unlikely we will see any further preorder stock before release day on September 1. At the moment it’s unclear whether they simply mean on PS Direct, or at every other online retailer as well.

On eBay, numerous listings are already offering the faceplates for over $200. The listed price does not necessarily ensure that these sellers will indeed receive $200 upon sale, but it does indicate people think they can get more than the retail asking price for them.

Our only hope currently is that Amazon has seemingly not listed the faceplate preorder page yet, so there’s still a slim chance of securing them soon. We’ll leave all the links you need just above just in case you want to keep an eye on things, but we highly recommend following @IGNDeals so you can be alerted if any more stock becomes available.
