Arguably Europe’s most competitive top-flight soccer league, the new Serie A season looks set to once again be an unpredictable affair after a summer of managerial upheaval.
The last five seasons have seen four different Scudetto winners, with Juventus, AC Milan, Napoli and last year’s champions Inter having all tasted glory.
Simone Inzaghi’s Inter are the bookies’ favorite to defend their title, having shrewdly added free agents Piotr Zieliński and Mehdi Taremi to the already strong Nerazzurri squad.
Meanwhile, Juventus and Milan will both be hoping to provide a strong challenge having appointed highly rated young managers, with Thiago Motta taking the reins at the Old Lady and Paulo Fonseca now in charge at the Rossoneri.
