Olympic Tennis 2024: How to Watch Today’s Gold Medal Matches [CNET]
It’s time to play for some hardware at Roland-Garros. Some huge matches are on tap today and tomorrow to conclude men’s and women’s Olympic tennis tournaments.
The biggest match is Sunday’s men’s singles final between Nokak Djokovic of Serbia and Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz. The 37-year-old Djokovic is the oldest man in the draw, and the 21-year-old Alcaraz in the youngest. Djokovic has won a record 24 Grand Slams but only one bronze way back in the 2008 Beijing Games. Alcaraz has already captured four major championships in his young career and is playing in his first Olympics.
The two have met in the Wimbledon final the past two years, with Alcaraz claiming victory in each. Their head-to-head record, however, is even at three each.
The men’s singles gold medal match between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz on Sunday will be a rematch of last month’s Wimbledon final.

Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram will face Matt Ebden and John Peers of Australia. The Aussies defeated the American duo of Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul in the semifinals. Fritz and Paul will play for the bronze on Saturday after the gold medal match.
The third match on Saturday will be the women’s final between Zheng Qinwen of China and Donna Vekic of Croatia. In Saturday’s final match, Lorenzo Musetti of Italy will play Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada for the bronze medal in men’s singles.
Today’s Olympic tennis begins at 12 a.m. CET / 11 a.m. BST / 6 a.m. ET / 3 a.m. PT / 8 p.m. AEST.

Peacock will also have four multiview options that will let you watch four events at once. You’ll be able to watch NBC’s nightly Primetime in Paris show on Peacock, and Peacock will have its own daily recap show “hosted” by AI-generated Al Michaels.

Peacock offers two Premium plans, and each costs $2 more a month than it did before July 18. After the recent price increases, the ad-supported Premium plan will cost $8 a month, and the ad-free Premium plan will cost $14 a month. You can use either Premium plan to watch the Olympics.

All of the matches will be played on the famed red clay of Roland-Garros, home of the French Open, in Paris.
What’s the time difference between Paris and the US?
Paris is 6 hours ahead of New York and the rest of the Eastern time zone. It’s 7 hours ahead of the Central time zone, 8 hours ahead of Mountain time and 9 hours ahead of Pacific time.
This difference means that most events will be shown live in the morning and afternoon for US viewers.

In the US, you need five TV channels for the Olympics: NBC, USA Network, E!, CNBC and Golf Channel. Some of the medal-round matches will be on USA Network, but serious tennis fans will need Peacock for full access to all of the tennis in Paris, including the men’s final on Sunday between Djokovic and Alcaraz. You’ll be able to watch only a replay of the match on CNBC but will need Peacock to watch it live.

Quick tips for streaming 2024 Olympic tennis using a VPN
- With four variables at play — your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN — your experience and success when streaming the Olympic tennis live may vary.
- If you don’t see your desired location as a default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
- If you’re having trouble watching the Olympics after you’ve turned on your VPN and set it to the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try to fix it. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. If not, you may need to change the physical address on file with your account. Second, some smart TVs — like Roku — don’t have VPN apps you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll have to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you’re using (like your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct viewing location.
- All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for quickly installing the VPN on your router. In some cases with smart TV services, after you install a cable network’s sports app, you’ll be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file for your smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router will also help since both devices will appear to be in the correct location.
