New Princess Peach: Showtime Trailer Reveals Ninja and Cowgirl Transformations [IGN]

Nintendo has shown off more transformations available in the upcoming action-adventure game Princess Peach: Showtime.

In the new trailer, which you can check out above, you can see the two latest transformations confirmed: Ninja Peach and Cowgirl Peach. The former showed gameplay of Peach partaking in stealthy attacks and jumping up walls to progress to higher ground. The latter has Peach equipped with a lasso rope to attack enemies and a snippet of a chase sequence where she is on horseback going after a group of enemies.

Nintendo also showed additional gameplay for Swordfighter Peach, Detective Peach, Kung Fu Peach, and Patisserie Peach. All these transformations were previously confirmed at a September 2023 Nintendo Direct. As Nintendo has previously shown, Princess Peach: Showtime will focus on Peach’s transformations, allowing her to attain different skills and abilities.

Initially revealed during a June 2023 Nintendo Direct event, Princess Peach: Showtime is a spinoff game focused on the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. It’s Princess Peach’s most recent outing as the main protagonist since the 2005 Nintendo DS game Super Princess Peach.

Princess Peach: Showtime is out March 22 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, and it’s one of many first-party Nintendo games slated to release in 2024. Additional first-party games coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console this year include a remake of Mario vs. Donkey Kong and remasters of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon.
