It finally happened! Mario has teamed up with a non-Nintendo based IP!
You might recall the Rabbids from Ubisoft. They’ve been featured in so many games in the past, making their debut on the Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation 2, and MS Xbox 360 back in 2006 in the game Rayman Raving Rabbids. The next 2 games featured Rayman, one of Ubisoft’s star IPs, until they finally let the Rabbids break out on their own. If you include mobile games, this makes the 15th game to feature the Rabbids, but most importantly, the FIRST to feature Nintendo’s all-star MARIO.
The most major thing to note here, however, is that this is not a typical platformer like most Mario games before it. This is a turn-based strategy game, reminiscent of the X-COM series. It’s getting some solid reviews and for being a Nintendo Switch game, the ‘turn-based’ aspect makes ‘pick up and play anywhere’ that much more awesome!
If you remember the crazy (often times insanely entertaining) shenanigans of the Rabbids, would like to finally see Mario use a gun, and need some more triple A titles for your Switch… then pick up your copy of Mario + Rabbids – Kingdom Battle today!
