Update: The official Grand Theft Auto VI trailer is live, confirming that the leak is real. The original story continues below.

Less than 24 hours before its anticipated debut, the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer appears to have leaked. The unconfirmed trailer appeared on X/Twitter early Monday afternoon and quickly spread like wildfire around the Internet.

— Rockstar Games (@RockstarGames) December 4, 2023

The account was quickly suspended, more or less confirming that the trailer was indeed real. Still, the post had thousands of likes before the trailer was taken down, meaning that plenty of fans got eyes on it before it went down.

Rockstar followed by releasing the actual trailer to its channels with a self-deprecating, “Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube.”
