Ghost of Tsushima is the latest PlayStation exclusive coming to PC, with its Director’s Cut edition arriving May 16.

Revealed on the PlayStation Blog and with a Steam page, open-world samurai game Ghost of Tsushima will be available alongside its Iki Island expansion and online cooperative mode Legends in one package, currently listed at $59.99 in the U.S. and £49.99 in the UK on Steam.

The PC version supports upscaling and frame generation technologies like NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3, and Intel XeSS alongside NVIDIA Reflex and image quality enhancing NVIDIA DLAA. No system requirements were shared.

Developer Sucker Punch and porting studio Nixxes confirmed Ghost of Tsushima supports myriad widescreen monitors, however, including Ultrawide (21:9), Super Ultrawide (32:9), and 48:9 for three monitors. It has an unlocked framerate and “a variety of graphics options tailored to a wide range of hardware, ranging from high-end PCs to portable PC gaming devices”. Mouse and keyboard support with fully customisable controls are available too.

Pre-purchasing on Steam nets players a few extras, including a New Game Plus exclusive horse, Traveler’s Attire outfit, and Broken Armor dyes frmo Baku’s shop.

“This is a first for Sucker Punch,” said studio co-founder Brian Fleming. “All our previous work is console exclusive, so we are excited about all this and Nixxes was the right team to do this project. With them on board, we knew the results would be nothing short of amazing.”

Ghost of Tsushima’s Director Cut, which was essentially the PlayStation 5 version bundled with all the extra content, will otherwise retain the extra features included in this release such as haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support when using a DualSense controller.

Ghost of Tsushima first arrived on PlayStation 4 in 2020 and had this definitive edition released the following year. Players take on the role of Jin Sakai, a samurai forced into hiding during a Mongol invasion and who must choose whether to stick to his honourable training or resort to stealthy techniques to save his island of Tsushima.

In our 9/10 review, IGN said: “Ghost of Tsushima is an excellent action game and its open world is one of the most gorgeous yet.”
