The long wait for the Apple Watch Series 10 is nearly over. The new smartwatch from Apple will arrive in stores and get shipped to homes starting Friday Sept. 20.

In her comprehensive review of the Apple Watch Series 10, CNET’s Lexy Savvides describes it as “sleeker and more practical than ever.” The biggest news for the latest Apple smartwatch is a bigger screen — the display is 30% larger although the body is thinner and lighter than ever.

New charging technology in the back of the Apple Watch 10 helps it reach full battery faster, and the new smartwatch also adds features like water sensors and sleep apnea detection. The display is also 40% brighter when viewed at an angle.

When will the Apple Watch Series 10 launch?

The Apple Watch Series 10 lineup will launch on Sept. 20. That’s the date when the first deliveries will begin arriving for those who preorder early enough as well as the date you can expect availability in stores.

Preorders for the Apple Watch Series 10 started on Monday, Sept. 9. If you want to be among the first to grab one, you’ll want to preorder one right now.

How much does the Apple Watch Series 10 cost?

The Series 10 watches start at $399 for the GPS model and $499 for the cellular option.

Best Apple Watch Series 10 preorder deals

You can preorder the Apple Watch Series 10 from the Apple Store right now, with the expected arrival date to be Sept. 20. If you have an older Apple Watch to trade in, you can save between $50 and $365 with trade-in credit.

Amazon is now listing the Apple Watch Series 10 for preorder with devices set to ship out on Friday, Sept. 20. You can choose between various sizes, colors and band styles there, as well as shop for cellular-enabled models.

Walmart’s Apple Watch Series 10 preorders are also open with aluminum and titanium models up for grabs there. Be sure to click through the different size and band combos to nab the one you want.

Got an old smartwatch to trade in? Hand it over to Best Buy and you can get the Apple Watch Series 10 from as little as $199. My Best Buy Plus and Total members also save an additional 10% when trading in.

T-Mobile will also carry the new Apple Watch beginning Sept. 20. We do expect some savings to be offered when purchasing a new iPhone 16 or another watch and will update this when information is available.

As with other carriers and outlets, the Apple Watch Series 10 will be available for preorder starting this Friday. AT&T is expected to carry the latest Apple Watches both in stores and online beginning Friday, Sept. 20.

While there are no teasers for offers yet on Xfinity Mobile’s website, as with other carriers, the Apple Watch Series 10 will be available on Sept. 20.

Preorders for the Apple Watch Series 10 begin at 5 am PT on Sept. 13. As per their preorder offer for the Apple iPhone 16, they will be offering the Apple Watch Series 10 for as low as $6 per month with iPhone 16 purchase and the trade-in of a qualifying watch.
