Bowflex SelectTech Curl Bar Is $120 Off for Prime Day – CNET [CNET]

Normally $599, the Bowflex SelectTech Curl Bar is on sale for $480 for Prime members. That’s its lowest price to date.

We’re big fans of Bowflex’s SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbells, which we’ve had on our list of best adjustable dumbbells for strength training and noted when they went on sale. But the company’s SelectTech ST2080 Curl Bar doesn’t get as much attention, even though it’s arguably an equally useful piece of home gym equipment that features both a straight bar and curl bar. For Amazon Prime Day — and Prime members — it’s down to $479, or $270 off its list price of $749. That’s $69 less than what it usually sells for when its price is reduced, and only $30 higher than its low price for the year.

Like with the SelectTech Dumbbell, you start with the SelectTech Curl Bar sitting in its dock and then dial in the weight you want to either add weight plates or leave them off once you lift the bar out of the dock. You can dial in 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 or 80 pounds. If that isn’t quite enough weight for you, Bowflex sells a 40-pound upgrade that adds four additional weight settings up to 120 pounds (alas, that currently costs $200).

The included dock is designed to sit on the ground. For a more ergonomic option, you can pick up the Bowflex SelectTech 2080 Barbell Stand with Media Rack. That’s also $199.

Note that the SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbell (for a pair) is on sale with a stand for $405. That’s the lowest price we’ve seen for the 552 Adjustable Dumbbells and Stand Bundle. The stand alone normally retails for around $180.
