Samsung is known for making some of the best Android phones on the market. Its popular Galaxy Z Flip lineup first launched in 2020, and the most recent versions of the company’s foldable phones are now readily available in multiple retailers. We first saw the brand-new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 at this summer’s Unpacked event, which introduced plenty of eye-catching new hardware, including the Galaxy Ring and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. If you’re hoping to upgrade to the Z Flip 6, you can still do so without paying full price.

Upgrading brings many perks. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, along with a 6.7-inch AMOLED main screen and a 3.4-inch AMOLED cover screen. If you love photos and video, the Z Flip 6 has a 10-megapixel front camera and a rear dual camera setup, with a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera. The phones come with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

According to Samsung, with wired charging, you should be able to get the 4,000-mAh battery up to a 50% charge in about half an hour. The Z Flip 6 comes equipped with the latest version of the company’s software, known as One UI 6.

What colors does the Galaxy Z Flip 6 come in?

You can select from several colors, but some options are only available directly from Samsung. Variants you can find at multiple retailers include silver shadow, yellow, blue and mint. Crafted black, white and peach are Samsung exclusives.

How much does the Galaxy Z Flip 6 cost?

The starting prices for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the US, before any trade-ins or discounts, are as follows:

Best unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 6 deals

There are no direct savings on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 right now at Samsung, but you can still get a great price if you have an eligible trade-in.

Right now, you can get an unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 6 directly from Samsung and receive up to $650 trade-in credit and double the storage for free. That essentially gets you the 256GB model for $550 and the 512GB model for $770.

Additionally, you can save 25% off a pair of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, the Galaxy Watch Ultra or the Galaxy Watch 7 with your purchase of the Z Flip 6. You can also get a year of Samsung Care+ protection and support, worth up to $156. All of these perks offer a combined savings of up to $800.

Best Buy is not offering the Galaxy Z Flip 6 at a discount, however purchase one and you will get one-month Xbox Game Pass membership as well as three months of Google One cloud storage for free and store up to 100GB of data and documents. There’s also up to $800 in trade in credit if you have an eligible phone to swap.

Best Galaxy Z Flip 6 deals with a carrier

While AT&T is not offering direct discounts on the Z Flip 6 currently, there are ways you can save. The carrier is offering up to $1,100 off with an eligible trade-in, which nets you this phone for free. You will need to pick or upgrade to an unlimited plan.

As for the trade-in offer, the requirements are pretty generous. You can trade in any Galaxy S, Note or Z Series smartphone from any year, in any condition or an eligible smartphone with a trade-in value of $35 or higher. Just note that the savings will be paid out over 36 months via monthly credit installments.

You can also score Samsung devices for 50% off when you purchase a Z Flip 6 if you meet AT&T’s requirements. This offer is available until Sept. 5. You can also nab a Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G and/or a Galaxy Watch7 40mm for $0.99 per month when you choose an eligible installment plan and data plan.

T-Mobile is not currently offering direct savings on the Z Flip 6, if you have an eligible device to trade in you could save up to $1,100. You’ll get that savings back via 24 monthly bill credits when you add a new line on a Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plan. Already a T-Mobile customer? You can also score these same savings if you trade in an eligible device on those same two plans. That gets you this phone for free.

Eligible devices include Samsung Galaxy S9 and newer, Note 9 and newer, and any of the Z series lineup, as well as Apple iPhone 11 and newer, One Plus 9 Pro 5G and newer, Google Pixel 6 and newer, and Motorola Razr Plus 2023. Some older models may be eligible to receive up to $550 off.

If you’re not on those plans, there are also trade-in deals available that can get you up to $500 off.

Right now Xfinity Mobile is offering customers up to $800 in savings on a new Galaxy Z Flip 6 phone. To score the deal, new customers can transfer their number and get a new line with Xfinity Mobile to get $800 in device credits applied to their monthly statement. Existing customers can upgrade a device, scoring up to $800 in credits when they trade in their old phone.

But even if you don’t have a device to trade in, you can still score a $500 device discount.

There are no direct discounts at the carrier right now, but Verizon is offering up to $800 in savings when you get a new line and trade in your old phone. Verizon is currently taking select phones in any condition — but you must be on one of the company’s eligible Unlimited plans (Plus or Ultimate) to take advantage of this deal. You’ll receive your trade-in credit over 36 months.
