Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story (Sept. 19)

In Ryan Murphy’s latest anthology series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch portray brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were convicted of murdering their parents in 1989. The series, which is available on Sept. 19 on Netflix, explores the events surrounding the deaths of Jose and Kitty Menendez, played here by Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny. The series is especially topical given that the brothers’ guilt has been disputed recently by conspiracy theorists on TikTok who believe them to be innocent.

Netflix

Twilight of the Gods (Sept. 19)

Netflix’s new adult animation series Twilight of the Gods is yet another project from the mind of Zack Snyder, but just because this is an animated show doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty of Snyder’s signature sex and violence. An epic focusing around Norse mythology and the gods and warriors made famous in those old tales, the series drops on Sept. 19.
